Employment
Do you have a heart for guiding students through the ups and downs of adolescence and into a lasting relationship with Jesus Christ? Do you long to disciple the next generation while enjoying the slower pace and close-knit community of rural northwestern Pennsylvania?
Oak Grove Church, with roots dating back to the 1850s, is a growing congregation of over 300 prayerfully seeking a full-time Youth Pastor to lead, shepherd, and disciple our middle and high school students — helping them discover and deepen their walk with Christ, and equipping them to live out their faith in every area of life.
Oak Grove offers a special place to live and serve, where you can build real, lasting relationships in a welcoming community. With easy access to major interstates, the area blends small-town warmth with convenient reach to nearby cities — giving you the best of both worlds as you invest in the lives of our students and their families.
Our foundational principle, “Knowing Christ and Making Him Known,” drives everything we do. We are committed to evangelizing the lost, edifying the saved, ministering to those in need, and being a conscience in our community — and we want our youth ministry to be a living expression of that mission.
As Youth Pastor, you will:
- Plan, lead, and oversee weekly gatherings, small groups, and events for students in grades 5–12
- Build a clear discipleship pathway that grows students in prayer, Scripture, and service
- Recruit, train, and shepherd a healthy, unified team of adult volunteers
- Walk alongside students and families through life’s personal and spiritual challenges
- Develop outreach strategies, events, and retreats that reach unchurched students in the community
- Help students feel connected to the life of the whole church, and share the pulpit at least twice a year
You may be a great fit if you:
- Have a genuine love for students and a calling to youth ministry
- Are proficient in biblical exposition and teaching
- Communicate clearly and warmly, in both speaking and writing
- Have a passion for equipping and empowering volunteers
- Want to make a lasting, Kingdom-shaped impact on the next generation
Oak Grove Church offers a competitive compensation and benefits package based on qualifications and experience, along with opportunities for professional development and ministry training.
